Luxury Bathroom Renovation in Fenham, Newcastle
At Inspired Installations, we completed this contemporary bathroom renovation in Fenham, Newcastle upon Tyne, creating a stylish and practical space with a combination of premium porcelain tiles, modern bathroom furniture and carefully positioned feature lighting.
The design brings together soft neutral colours, contrasting textures and clean architectural lines. With a walk-in shower, wall-hung sanitaryware and integrated LED lighting, the finished bathroom offers a modern appearance without compromising on everyday practicality.
Large-Format Porcelain Wall Tiles with Textured Features
One of the standout elements of this bathroom installation is the use of large-format porcelain wall tiles in a soft, neutral finish.
The tiles create a clean and consistent appearance throughout the room, while the horizontal textured feature borders introduce additional detail without overwhelming the overall design.
This combination of smooth porcelain surfaces and subtly textured sections adds depth and character to the bathroom, particularly around the vanity area and the bespoke recessed wall niches.
The neutral colour scheme also works beautifully alongside the contemporary bathroom furniture and chrome fittings.
Walk-In Shower Installation
The new walk-in shower provides a spacious, contemporary showering area with clear glass screening, a low-profile white shower tray and a thermostatic shower system.
The shower features a large square overhead rainfall showerhead alongside a separate handheld attachment, offering flexibility for everyday use.
The minimalist glass panels help maintain an open feel, allowing the porcelain wall tiles to remain visible throughout the room.
By keeping the shower design simple and uncluttered, the installation complements the clean lines of the surrounding furniture.
Wall-Hung Vanity Unit and Toilet
To complement the modern shower area, we installed a wall-hung vanity unit with a large integrated rectangular basin and contemporary chrome mixer tap.
The floating design creates additional visible floor space beneath the unit, helping the room feel more open while providing practical drawer storage.
Above the basin, a rectangular LED illuminated mirror provides functional lighting and adds another modern detail to the finished design.
A wall-hung toilet with a concealed cistern and chrome flush plate completes the sanitaryware installation.
The concealed plumbing and wall-mounted design contribute to the bathroom's streamlined appearance while making the surrounding floor easier to clean.
Bespoke Illuminated Wall Niches
A particularly distinctive feature of this Fenham bathroom is the installation of two recessed wall niches, positioned vertically above the toilet.
Each niche incorporates its own recessed LED spotlight, highlighting the textured porcelain finish within.
The niches provide useful display or storage space while adding an attractive architectural feature to an otherwise plain wall.
Their positioning, integrated lighting and contrasting textures help create a more individual bathroom design.
Decorative LED Floor Lighting
Another unusual detail is the installation of small recessed LED floor lights throughout the bathroom.
These create subtle points of illumination across the patterned grey flooring, adding an extra dimension to the overall lighting design.
Combined with the illuminated wall niches, LED mirror and ceiling downlights, the bathroom benefits from several layers of lighting that enhance its contemporary appearance.
A modern anthracite heated towel rail provides a practical finishing touch, contrasting with the lighter porcelain wall tiles.
